Spurs offer Son Heung-min safe place for military award
After Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min was given an award during his military service in South Korea, his club have reminded him their trophy cabinet has plenty of room if he needs a safe place to display it.
A leaked email from the club sent congratulations to their star winger for successfully completing his three-week basic military training before offering a gentle reminder. You can read the email below:
"Dear Sonny,
We just wanted to send a note congratulating you on completing your military training and finishing top of your class! We'd expect nothing less from our Korean wonder kid.
We also noticed you won a lovely award for your performance. That's really great. On that point, if perhaps you were wanting to store it somewhere safe, might we suggest the trophy room at our new stadium?
Not only does it have gorgeous, state-of-the-art cabinets, it's safe and secure and won't gather dust. Just think how great it would look between our 1991 FA Cup trophy and our coveted 2008 League Cup trophy. We haven't had anything new to put in there since, you know. Just give it a thought. Please.
Yours sincerely,
The Board - Tottenham Hotspur Football Club"
